Town of the Blue Mountains
This custom-built, post and beam, 7500 square foot estate home is situated on 25 acres of land. The client had a specific layout and plans to build on this residential property. GJ Custom Contracting acted as the general contractor for the project completing each and every aspect of the custom build.
The GJ team of talented trade people (electricians, plumbers, masons, and carpenters) worked closely with the homeowner to execute the homeowners design vision. Everything in this amazing home is custom. From the trim work, to the kitchen cabinetry, to the vanities in the bathrooms, to the staircase, railings, and catwalk, each element was carefully designed and meticulously created by the GJ Custom Contracting team.
The GJ team installed wide plank hickory flooring throughout the entire space. The 28 foot vaulted ceilings in the great room showcase the custom, wood burning, stone fireplace that was constructed by the team. Additional design features include a live-in nanny loft (sits above the two car garage), family room with wood burning fireplace designed to bring the family together.
This home is energy efficient with geothermal heating throughout and radiant heated floors, along with custom windows to not only let natural light flood the space, but also control the home’s temperature and avoid heat loss. These custom windows are as beautiful as they are practical providing wonderful views of the pine forest surroundings.
